How To Apply

The Abbotsford Police Department is actively seeking applications for police officers.  If you meet all of the above minimum requirements and want to be considered for the selection/application process, you must complete the Application Form.  The form should be downloaded and printed off on your computer.  It must be completed in black ink, by hand, by you.  Mail or hand deliver the original Application Form to the recruiting office.  Be sure to follow the instructions on the form.  Please include the following documents with your Application Form:

  • Photocopy of valid driver's licence
  • Driver's abstract (obtained from motor vehicle branch)
  • Copy of your valid first aid certificate (minimum requirement is "basic" or "standard" first aid with CPR).
  • Copy of your birth certificate and or proof of your Permanent Resident status

Submitting an application does not guarantee entry into the selection process.  A member within the recruiting section will contact the applicant if and when the applicant is to commence the selection process.  This contact can take up to three months, depending on the time of year and the recruiting needs of the APD.  Please be assured that if you meet our minimum requirements, we will contact you at the appropriate time.

Please ensure your email address is on your Application Form.  Email is our primary mode of communicating with applicants during the initial stages of the application process.  Check your email account regularly!

Incomplete Application Forms will not be processed.
