PARDONS

Individuals who have been charged and convicted of Criminal Code and Federal Statute offences may apply to the National Parole Board,  Pardons and Clemency Division,  in Ottawa, Ontario to have these records sealed.  A step-by-step Pardon Application Booklet is available for persons wishing to proceed with this action. Booklets can be picked up at the front counter of Abbotsford Police Department during regular business hours, seven days a week.

The Pardon application process takes time.  It takes time for the applicant to gather the necessary documentation and then it takes more time for the application to be processed in Ottawa.  There are varying fees associated to gathering the required information necessary to complete the application also.
