The Abbotsford Police are assisting the concerned parents of 40-year-old Jaclyn (Jackie) Ferland-Smith as they seek information regarding Jaclyn’s disappearance in Costa Rica. Jaclyn’s parents advised that she was last seen by her husband on the evening of August 17, 2021 at their home in Playa Del Hermosa, Costa Rica.

The Abbotsford Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 between 3:45 pm and 5:50 pm, between the Matsqui Recreation Center and Tims St. The investigation is focused on the catwalk that leads from Tims St to the Matsqui Recreation Center and the football fields to the west of the school.

On Monday, September 6, 2021 around 4pm, Abbotsford Patrol officers launched an investigation into an allegation of sexual interference involving a child that occurred inside a public washroom at Grant park, 31850 Madiera Place, Abbotsford, BC. The suspect fled the area on his bicycle but was later located and arrested for sexual interference.

The Abbotsford Police Department Missing Person Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 75-year-old Pederreng JENSEN. Pederreng JENSEN was last seen last night at 8:30 pm driving his 1998 Ford Expedition bearing BC Plate JF917S.  He was with his German Shepard, Shadow.

On Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 5:50 pm, AbbyPD patrol officers responded to a robbery at the TD Bank located at 30788 Fraser Highway. A male suspect walked into the bank, approached a bank teller, produced a note and demanded cash.  The teller complied, and the masked suspect fled the bank. Thankfully, neither the bank teller nor patrons were injured.

Abbotsford Police investigating suspicious fire in Mill Lake Park

This morning, just after 4 am, Emergency Services responded to a fully engulfed fire on a section of the boardwalk bridge in Mill lake Park, just off the Bourquin Cres West entrance. Abbotsford Fire Rescue Services extinguished the fire, preventing further spread to the park and homes.
