AbbyPD & Community Partners organize April 28 Clean Up

You asked for it… we organized it!  The AbbyPD’s Street Outreach Team (SORT) has organized a community clean-up. This event brings key service agencies who are providing support for our homeless community along with many individuals who have previously experienced homelessness in a collaborative effort to make Abbotsford green and clean.  The clean-up will target the green space between the railway tracks near West Railway and Gladys Avenue.  Snacks will be provided at the end of the event as a thank you for helping build the bridges between our homeless population and citizens wanting to help make a difference in our community.

The Abbotsford Police Missing Person Unit is asking the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Matthew BALOGH.  Matthew was last seen near George Ferguson Way and Clearbrook Road on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at 10:00 am.

At 6:49 pm on April 13, 2021 AbbyPD patrol officers responded to the Domo Gas Station in the 32400 block of South Fraser Way for a report of a robbery. At that time, it was reported that a male wearing a face covering walked into the kiosk, produced a firearm and obtained cash and cigarettes.

Two men charged after police find drugs & gun during suspicious vehicle investigation

On March 27, 2021 at 7:41 am, Abbotsford Patrol Officers responded to the 1200 blk of Bowman Road for a report of a suspicious vehicle.  Upon arrival, officers located a heavily damaged vehicle with two males sleeping inside and the officers observed that the passenger had drugs visible on his lap.

Abbotsford Police investigators are investigating a break-and-enter to a residence in the 32900 blk of Bevan Ave in which five very young kittens were taken. These kittens are only 10 days old and need the care of their mom, Mittens.

Abbotsford Police Patrol officers were called to the 32800 block of Marshall Road for a report of theft from auto.  As officers responded to the area, they saw large plumes of smoke and located a fire at an apartment building in the open-air parking lot.

On March 3, 2021 Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to a 911 hang up call in the 32300 block of Slocan Drive. An injured male was located and transported to hospital.  The male has since succumbed to his injuries.
