Today, Friday, June 11, at 1:45 pm, Abbotsford’s Emergency Services were called to the 2400 block of Countess Street for reports of a person suffering from apparent stab wounds. Upon arrival, police located the victim, who was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

In the early morning hours of January 10, 2018, Abbotsford Police officers responded to a home invasion in the 2200 block of Windsor Street. Armed masked men broke into the home and tied up the residents, a man and his teenage son. Police believe this was a targeted robbery. Fortunately, the victims did not sustain physical injuries; however, they were emotionally impacted by this incident.

Today, Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 11:29 am, an armed suspect attempted to rob the Scotiabank on Gladwin Road. The suspect walked into the bank brandishing a shotgun and demanded that everyone lie on the ground. The suspect threw bags onto the counter and demanded money.

While patrolling central Abbotsford on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 4:15 am, an Abbotsford Police patrol officer heard an explosion on Walsh Avenue. Upon responding to this location, the officer found a dumpster on fire in an alley and observed a fire at a nearby recycling depot across the street. Investigators have located numerous locations in this area where the suspect lit small fires.

This morning, just before 6:00 am, Emergency Services responded to a found body in the 38000 block of North Parallel Road. The Abbotsford Police Department is investigating this incident as a fatal hit and run of a pedestrian. The identity of the deceased male is not known at this time.
