Police execute search warrant on Lonsdale Crescent

On Wednesday, June 17, 2020, Abbotsford Police Patrol officers arrested a 63-year-old man in relation to drug investigation.  Later the same day, officers executed a search warrant in the 32600 block of Lonsdale Crescent.

AbbyPD investigating motorcycle incident on Old Yale Road

Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to the 31600 block of Old Yale Road at 4:20 pm this evening following reports of a collision involving a single motorcycle.  The driver of the motorcycle has been transported to hospital by BC Ambulance Service for treatment of serious injuries.

Abbotsford school zones back in effect June 1

BC schools are set for a partial re-opening on June 1.  With classes back in session, school zones and reduced speed limits will also be back in effect for Abbotsford drivers.  The school zone speed limit is 30 km/hr between 8 am and 5 pm on days school is in session.

Human Remains Found on Rural Property on March 19 Have Been Identified

On March 19, 2020, Abbotsford Police attended a rural property in the 32000 block of King Road for a report of the discovery of human bones.

It has now been determined that the deceased is 38-year-old Marie Stuart.  Ms. Stuart had been the subject of an AbbyPD missing persons investigation that was initiated December 27, 2016.

Witnesses Sought in Pepper Spray Incident

On May 22, 2020 at 3:15 pm, AbbyPD patrol officers responded to the strip mall parking lot at 31970 South Fraser Way for a report of an assault in progress. 

Officers arrived and were advised that a verbal altercation between two parties resulted in one person deploying pepper spray, and then fleeing in a vehicle.

The Abbotsford Police are asking the public’s assistance in locating missing person, Antonio Fernandez, 29-years-old.  Antonio was last seen Monday May 25th at 1 am in the 32600 block of Simon Ave when he went outside to have a cigarette.

On May 18, 2020, 32-year-old Emily was sitting in her front driveway on Glenn Mountain Drive enjoying the sunshine.  Between 12:30 and 1:00 pm that day, an unknown person who may have been travelling in a vehicle shot at and hit Emily in the upper leg with a paintball.  Emily sustained a minor red mark to her leg.
