Shots fired suspect in custody
On Monday, March 9th at 8:22pm, Abbotsford Police Patrol officers were called to the 32000 block of Clinton Avenue for a report of “Shots Fired”. Witnesses reported hearing a loud “bang” and observed smoke coming from the residence’s window.

Brazen Break and Enter Suspect Arrested
On Sunday March 1, 2020 at 5:25 am, Abbotsford Police Patrol officers responded to Ashley Way for a report of a residential break and enter. The residents of this home woke up early to find their house had been ransacked overnight as they slept upstairs. Personal items, including wallets, bank cards, electronics and cell phones were stolen.

AbbyPD seeking hit and run driver
Last night at 6:19 pm, Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Cannon Ave and McDougall Ave. A dark pick-up truck struck a 64-year-old Abbotsford resident who was walking in the crosswalk. The truck was last seen southbound on McCallum Road.

Witnesses and dashcam footage sought for Robbery
On Tuesday, February 18th at approximately 8:00 pm, a man wearing a mask entered an unlicensed cannabis dispensary in the 2400 block of Clearbrook Road. The man produced a firearm, demanded cash and marihuana, then fled the store.

The Abbotsford Police Department will be turning 65 this year. To be specific, we will be celebrating 25 years as the Abbotsford Police Department and 40 years as the Matsqui Police Department. This significant milestone will be marked by numerous events, activities and the restoration of a vintage police cruiser.
