In early August, AbbyPD Patrol Officers began a drug trafficking investigation into a residence within the 2300 block of Hemlock Street. As the file evolved, the AbbyPD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) began to assist.

Over the past five months, AbbyPD has responded to eight home invasions at licenced medical marijuana grow operations within the City of Abbotsford. These incidents have occurred within urban and rural areas of the city, occurring within the early morning hours of 2 am to 5 am.
The Abbotsford Police Major Crime Unit are continuing to investigate a report of a possible child abduction attempt that occurred on August 15, 2022, at approximately 8:30 pm, at a residence in the 2700 block of Maple St.
The child victim reported that an unknown male reached through an open bedroom window and pulled them out of the bedroom, along the side of the bouse and out to the roadway. The child victim then broke free, and the suspect fled in an unknown direction. The child victim did not receive any injuries.
Last night, at 8:54 pm, the Abbotsford Police responded to a possible child abduction attempt at a residence in the 2700 block of Maple St.
Initial information received is that an unknown male broke into a residence and attempted to pull a child out of a ground floor bedroom window. The child broke free and did not receive any injuries.

Today at 3:02 pm, AbbyPD Patrols officers located a mobile stolen vehicle, a 1991 White Acura Integra, in the area of Livingston Ave & Maclure Road. Officers immediately lost sight of the car; therefore, no attempts to stop the vehicle were attempted. At 4:11 pm, officers relocated the vehicle in the area of Hillcrest Ave & Emerson Street.

On July 20th, at 3:43 am, AbbyPD Patrol Officers responded to a delayed report of a street robbery that occurred within the 2500 block of McCallum Road at 1:36 am. The 40-year-old female victim reported being robbed by four unknown males wearing dark clothing, all described as being in their late teens or early 20s.

Today, July 28th, 2022, at 4:44 pm, Abbotsford Police Patrol Officers responded to an assault in progress at a residence located within the 2900 block of Eastview St.
Upon arrival, AbbyPD Patrol members located a 45-year-old female suffering from life-threatening injuries. Sadly, the female succumbed to her injuries at scene.

On July 23rd, at 9:24pm, the Abbotsford Police were contacted by the Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service (AFRS) requesting assistance at a suspicious fire scene at an apartment building in the 33100 block George Ferguson Way.

Today July 18th, 2022, at 04:37 am, Abbotsford Police Patrol Officers responded to shots-fired call within the 34700 block of Townshipline Road. While en route, one patrol vehicle was involved in a serious motor vehicle collision in the 33600 block of George Ferguson Way, resulting in an impact with a concrete wall.

Last evening, May 25th, at 10:30 pm, the AbbyPD Patrol Officers responded to a 911 call of an assault within the 32900 block of South Fraser Way. Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from serious life-threatening injuries.

Abbotsford Police had issued a media release asking for the public’s assistance in locating a young female, Tatyana Hill who was in the company of a male, Daniel Ames.
This afternoon, a heads-up citizen observed Daniel Ames and Tatyana Hill in West Vancouver and they called 911.

Today, May 9th, 2022, at 10:26 am, the Abbotsford Police Department responded to the 33600 block of Arcadian Way, for a discovery of two deceased adults within a residence.
Earlier today, April 29th, a 24-year-old man attended the Abbotsford Police Department and identified himself to investigators as the driver involved in the Hit & Run. Police have also located the vehicle involved.
