UPDATE- Registered Owner of Hit and Run vehicle speaking to investigators
The registered owner of the vehicle involved in last night’s hit and run has come in to meet with Abbotsford Police Major Crime Detectives. This investigation is on-going and updates will be provided when available.
The Abbotsford Police Detectives continue to encourage witnesses, and those with possible CCTV footage and dashcam footage to come forward to help provide further evidence in this investigation.

AbbyPD seeking vehicle involved in fatal hit and run
Last night at 8:30 pm, Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in the 32600 block of Marshall Road. A newer model SUV-type vehicle struck a 77-year-old South Asian male who was walking on the roadway.
The pedestrian was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance Service. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries in hospital this morning. We offer our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased man.
Abbotsford Police Department Detectives would like to speak to the witnesses who stopped to render assistance and act as interpreters at the scene.
The Abbotsford Police Department are asking for the driver of the vehicle to do the right thing and come forward to speak with investigators.
Police are seeking witnesses, CCTV footage and dashcam footage to help identify the driver and vehicle involved in this hit-and-run.
