Over the past 24 hours, Abbotsford Police investigators have received an over-whelming number of tips and information relating to this theft. We are excited to announce that all five kittens have been located and returned to Mittens, their mother.
One of the kittens was brought in to the SPCA this afternoon, and the other four were tracked down and recovered by AbbyPD patrol officer, Cst Froese, and our Crime Reduction Unit.
This is an on-going investigation and details are limited. We will update when more information is available.

AbbyPD investigating theft of kittens
Abbotsford Police investigators are investigating a break-and-enter to a residence in the 32900 blk of Bevan Ave in which five newborn kittens were taken, without their mother, Mittens. These kittens are only 10 days old and need the care of their mom.
The suspect, entered the residence through an unlocked door this morning, Tuesday March 30, 2021 around 3 am, when the kittens, and other identifiable items such as passports and an Apple TV (many items have been recovered).
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, in his 20’s, tall, slim wearing a light-coloured hoodie and dark pants.
This break and enter is still under investigation, however, anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Abbotsford Police Department.
